What Makes Pallet Boxes Suitable for Heavy and Bulky Products?

In a pallet box, the walls accept the load and hold it square, so a heavy product can not push the sides out. Tri-wall board is the standard selection for castings, fittings, and bagged material, because flexible goods lean hard on the walls. The board quality comes down to border crush stability and how many boxes will sit on top. Lighter loads are fine in double wall. Corrugated display boxes are standard in between.

How Do Large Containers Protect Products During Storage and Transport?

Damp and leaning walls do the damage in storage. A large container closes the load in and holds its shape, so neither has a chance. Board loses strength in a sticky store, which is why liner and grade point if boxes sit for months. A lid holds dust and leaks off the top layer. A snug fit stops products mixing about on the road.

What Sizes and Methods Are Available for Other Loads?

Pallet boxes are constructed to the pallet underneath; Euro pallets are the standard shipping boxes in the UK. Height relies on the product. Open top, lidded and drop-side methods cover most loads, and the base can be constructed for pallet truck entry.

How many pallet boxes can be stacked on top of each other?

That depends on how heavy each loaded box is and which board it is constructed from.

Is a pallet box the same as an octabin?

The bottom box supports the whole stack, so put the heaviest load lowest. Send us the loaded weight per box and your stack height, and we will suggest a board.

Do small parts or fine powders require a liner inside the box?

Small parts find their way via board joins, and fine powders filter out. A liner bag holds it all in, and the walls remain clean. Inform us what is going in, and we will offer one.

Can a pallet box be constructed for a nonstandard pallet?

We cut boxes to the pallet, so an odd size just means additional measurements. Send the pallet length and width, plus the height of your product requirements.

Are pallet boxes appropriate for pallet racking?

Provided the pallet works with the beam spacing. It is the pallet that spans the beams and holds the weight. The box has to hold its shape. Review the loaded weight against your racking boundaries before you order.

Do pallet boxes come flat-packed or assembled?

Most come flat to save storage space. To put one together, fold up the walls, fit the base, then fill it and strap it to the pallet.
