E-commerce packaging is everything that surrounds a demand on its way to your customer: boxes, mailers, inserts and closures. It has to weather drops, stacking, and long delivery routes, which is what divides it from frame packaging.

A mailer box is a one-piece corrugated box that tucks and coils closed without glue. It ships flat, builds in seconds and prints nicely inside and out, so it works for apparel, cosmetics and subscription orders.

Choose a mailer box for lighter products and a strong first impression. Choose a shipping box for heavier goods and bulk orders. Your product weight and how much presentation matters to your customer will point you to the right one.

Single wall handles most everyday parcels. Move to double-wall corrugated when the product is heavy, fragile or stacked with other parcels. A drop test with your packed product will confirm it.

Royal Mail works on fixed size bands, while many couriers price on volume, so spare space in a box can cost more than the product weight suggests. Plastic-free packaging is easy to reach with corrugated mailers, paper-based void fill and die-cut cardboard inserts. Check that your video, windows and layers are paper-based too, because these are the parts that most constantly stop a box from being reclaimed.
