The lights can go round the lid edge, behind a printed panel, or over the lining like little stars. We make the box to fit what you’re selling, so it could be a small single-item box or a wide display tray.
We work with four materials: rigid, corrugated, cardboard boxes and printed card. Rigid is the usual pick for luxury, since the deep walls have space for the wiring and battery. The dieline shows where both will be modelled, and that is supported before we cut any board, so nothing packs on the product. Weight, budget and where the box will be shown are what fix it.
A UK fragrance brand needed a launch box for its VIP kits. We used rigid board with a velvet wrap, since there was plenty of room behind the walls for the wiring and battery. The lid lining got fibre-optic starlight, and a velvet insert kept the bottle from moving. All 300 boxes were done within our usual 7 to 14 working days.
One half of the box holds a small attraction, and the other holds a reed sensor. Lift the lid, and the sensor turns the lights on. Close it, and they go off. Nobody has to press anything.
Gold foil, spot UV and embossing work well on the lid. A printed lid panel can also carry a headline that’s lit from behind, and a black silk ribbon with a wax-style seal makes a nice extra.
Inside, we cut a velvet insert to the product’s shape. The insert keeps the product at the right angle, so it doesn’t move when the lid opens. Next to it, you can fit a mirror, a printed lining or a space for a handwritten card, and your logo can be repeated under the lights.
Send us the length, width and height of your product, plus anything else that goes in the box. Orders start at 100 boxes. Once the artwork and lighting spec are approved, production takes 7 to 14 working days.

Most boxes use a small rechargeable battery or power module. It's hidden inside, away from the product. Battery type and size get confirmed at the quote stage, because they change how the box can be posted.
An LED strip is bright and even, so it's the standard selection for displays. Fibre optic is softer and looks more like stars. Both come in blue, white or warm white.
Rigid, if it's a luxury box. Rigid has thick walls that hide the wiring, and it takes leather-look or velvet wraps. Corrugated is cheaper and lighter. That makes it the one for bigger retail displays and shipping packs.

Yes. All four can go on the same luxury presentation box. We check them together on the dieline, because each one changes how the box is built.
It depends. Couriers don't all handle lithium batteries the same way, and the type and capacity of the battery matter. Ask your carrier before you dispatch. Our quote will include the battery details, so you know what to declare.
The board, card and paper can be recycled once the LED module and battery come out. The electronics need to go through electrical and battery recycling. If you want a removable module, say so in your brief, and we'll plan for it.
